Indoor climate & energy

Buildings in Europe use 40% of all energy of which on the average 25% is wasted. In 70% of the Dutch schools the indoor climate is below acceptable. On average 35% of employees is not satisfied with the indoor climate in the work place. CO2 concentrations that are too high, temperature and relative humidity too low or high, all affect the performance and health of our students and work force.

Often improvements are possible but either happen late, partially, or not at all. Implementing sustainable improvements is difficult because of a lack of objective actual and historical data on the quality of the indoor climate and energy usage.

The munisense system resolves this lack of data and provides - on-line - never seen before insight in indoor climate, energy usage, building utilization, and regulatory compliance (legionaires disease, noise regulations, etc.) and as a result provides the basis of a structural improvement for the indoor climate and energy usage for a very reasonable fee. The service is based on wireless technology which makes deployment of the system quick and easy, and the service reliable and sustainable.

The advantages of real-time, continuous insight in indoor climate and energy usage are:

  • Improvement performance and health of students and workers.
  • Reducing sick leave.
  • Reducing energy cost.
  • Improved building utilization.
  • Reduced change on legionaires and other disease outbreaks.
  • Reduction of maintenance costs.
  • Insight in climate quality and energy use between comparable rooms, buildings, and organizations.
